Phaistos Old Palace

On a trip to Phaistos one winter I discovered the gate to the closed off section of the Old Palace to be open. I had never expected to gain entry to this part of the Palace and knew nothing about it. I therefore decided to photograph the most photogenic parts of the maze of rooms that I encountered. Professor John McEnroe, working from memory, has very kindly identified or provisionally identified some of the rooms that I photographed, for which I thank him. The rooms are all located in the lower wing of the Old Palace on the bottom terrace.
